Merlin was born in 2017 and came to us, along with his friend Billie, in November 2023 from Nidderdale Llamas in Yorkshire. He had done a small amount of trekking with Nidderdale but also spent some time living with alpacas on a therapy farm, so it was decided that he would potentially make a good therapy llama to come and join our little team.
He is a cheeky chap and quite mischievous! Given half a chance he likes to try to steal the other llamas’ feeds (especially Eric’s!) so we have to keep a real eye on him at breakfast time!
He has been enjoying his initial walks around the farm with Billie and meeting the other animals on the farm, and particularly enjoys “playing” in the hay barn, treating it like a skateboard park using the hay bales as ramps!
